About Elisa

With 17 years of experience as a genealogist, Elisa Leasure has spent her career untangling complicated family histories and uncovering the stories hidden within them. She began her career in traditional genealogical research and later advanced into genetic genealogy — allowing her to provide clearer, more accurate answers about family lineage, help individuals reconnect with biological family, and bring clarity to questions of unknown parentage.
Driven by a desire to expand her skills, Elisa furthered her training through the investigative genetic genealogy program at Ramapo College. She now applies that training to complex investigative cases, supporting agencies through careful genealogical research and DNA analysis.
After seeing how often clients were left wanting more personal attention and a more compassionate experience, she founded Leasure Genetic Genealogy Services. Elisa believes no search for identity should ever feel impersonal or be treated as just another case number. Whether the goal is identifying a Jane Doe or breaking through a long-standing genealogical brick wall, she approaches every case with the same urgency, compassion, and meticulous attention to detail.
